Thank-you for your recent offerings to the Davis County Share-the-Harvest project that will provide funds for village farmers around the world to feed themselves and their families.  PMC’s offering of $2289.00 helped push the total above $5100.00 to help with land rent and crop expenses for the 2008 project.  –Share-the-Harvest Project 

Dinner Theatre: Washington Mennonite Church is hosting a Dinner Theatre entitled “Longing for Light” on October 30, 31 & November 1st at 6:30 each evening at the Crooked Creek Christian Camp Pavilion.  Brochures with registration information may be found on the church bulletin board.  Net proceeds are for mission programs of Washington Mennonite Church.

Woodcutting Day at Crooked Creek Christian Camp is October 25.  Bring your tools and pickup to take wood home.  Call 319-653-3611 for details. 

A Christmas Choir is being organized by Lyle Stirling with a rehearsal October 26 at 4:00.  Other rehearsals will be announced for the Christmas Choir program to be given on Sunday, December 14.

Caring for the Community: The Davis County Ministerial Association is offering two events of community blessing and pastoral care.
November 23:  A Community Thanksgiving Service at 4:00 in the historic Savannah Church at the Davis County historical site in Bloomfield.
December 13: A ‘Blue Christmas’ gathering especially for those who are remembering/grieving for loved ones at Christmas.  A devotional at 11:00 with a catered lunch to follow.  Details of both events announced soon.
