Nomination Ballot – Please remember to fill out your nomination ballot and turn it back in by December 15th.

Christmas Tree Decorating – Next Sunday, Dec. 1st, we invite everyone to stay for a few moments after the service to help put up the Christmas tree and decorations around the church.

Practice Times for the Christmas Eve Program-

Ø Sunday, December 8th after church- we will have a lunch for the kids and practice afterward. Parents may pick kids up around 1:30- 1:45.

Ø Monday, December 23rd 4:00- Practice is at the church and we plan on being done by 5:30- 6:00.

Ø Tuesday, December 24th Christmas Eve Program- Kids should arrive at the church by 4:00 PM.  We will have a light snack for them before the program.  Program starts at 6:00.

Prayer Request from CMC Conference - CMC minister Emmanuel Doulat (our Pakistani brother) received word that his older brother, Younas, died suddenly and unexpectedly with no apparent illness.  Younas was 49 years old and the father of four young children.  Please pray for his wife and children, and for Emmanuel and the extended family in this time of deep grief and loss.


Interested in Hosting? – We are looking for church family members who would be willing to host our Guest Speakers for dinner on the Sundays they come and speak.  If you are interested in hosting a Guest Speaker, please visit with Chris Payne.  Thank you.

Meat Canner – The meat canner will be coming to Kalona in December.  We will have a free-will offering basket in the vestibule to receive donations to be given towards the meat canner.

Mennonite Central Committee has a new service opportunity called Seek! It's an intentional discipleship program which focuses on exposing young adults in what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ, from an Anabaptist faith perspective. We're looking for a coordinator to provide leadership for the program in East Jerusalem, Israel. The Seek Coordinator will provide leadership and assume responsibility for the spiritual direction, development and implementation of the program. See vacancy online for more details! Please pray for the MCC Mobile Cannery as it travels through Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota, Oklahoma and Iowa this fall.
