Offerings on June 14 will support the Missionary family serving with Missionary Aviation in Indonesia. The Missionary family will be at PMC for a visit and program on Wednesday, July 15.

The Summer Sunday School Quarter begins today with classes for adults including Nooma, a DVD based ‘think-outside-the-box’ curriculum , and, The Wired Word.

A Bible School Planning Meeting is Sunday, June 21 at 4:00 at the Church. This meeting is for everyone signed up to help with Crocodile Dock Bible School August 2-6. We thank-you!

Be sure to visit with Chris & Dan about who, what, when and where.

A Wedding Shower/Noon Meal in honor of Racheal Knapp and Ben Thomas will be held on June 28 here at the church. Racheal and Ben are planning for their wedding September 6th. They are registered at Crate & Barrel and Macy’s.

Mark Zook & Patricia Hickey were married yesterday at PMC. Their new mailing address is 3030 CR 193, Philadelphia, MO 63463. Mark works as a Lab Technician at the Hannibal Ambulatory Clinic and Tricia is job hunting. Mark is a member at PMC and Tricia of Milton Christian Church . . . so they are church hunting as well as setting up housekeeping.

Shalom Readers Club Starts June 28! The books will be here on June 28 for young readers in the Shalom Readers Club. A big feature in this year’s club is the camp-out at Camp Wappello on July 25 & 26! We’ll also have church on July 26 at the camp—and Shalom Readers will have a big part in that. Watch for more details on the Shalom Readers Club!

Iowa’s ‘Seagoing Cowboys’ will be honored Thursday at 3:30 at the West Des Moines United Methodist Church as part of a five-state tour featuring a film about seagoing cowboys tending livestock on ships to Europe & China following World War II. Of the 7,000 men who made these trips, nearly 1,000 of them were Mennonite Conscientious Objectors. The program is free and open to the public.

Pastor on vacation: Darrell will be in Kansas Tuesday and Wednesday attending a ‘Seagoing Cowboy’ event with his dad. (See the note on the West Des Moines event). He returns on Thursday.

The Central Plains Mennonite Conference annual meeting is June 19-21 at Freeman, SD. Bill Baughman, Barbara Baughman and Darrell Zook will represent PMC as voting delgates.
